I didn’t join Twitter until after the takeover, because that’s when I finally became a writer, but by then it was too late. I abandoned my account before it had even started.

It’s still Twitter to me too. I have deleted the app from my phone but still occasionally get on there from my iPad. However, I have stubbornly refused to update the app so it still shows the bird & not the stupid X lol 🤷🏻‍♀️ Totally agree that Kensington Palace brought all of that grief upon themselves. Unmitigated PR disaster!

You are stronger than I am! I still have the app on my phone.

I will never call it X either.  😁

I don't care about the royals, at all. But I am fascinated by people's willingness to pontificate about the lives of people they know literally nothing about.

I also love how these scolds now are like, "You were mean to Kate." No. The palace could have just told the truth at the beginning. There was no scandal, so they didn't need to make it into one.

For sure — it wasn't about being mean to Kate, it was about questioning the palace's communications. The whole thing is so weird. I admit I was highly entertained by it while on vacation!
