Beautiful expression! Oddly, and perhaps a bit abstractly, this saying from Soren Kierkegaard (by way of Dune) popped into my monkey brain in response: "Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced." I am forced to acknowledge I've come rather late to love (beyond my own body), and the hard way at that. Well, that's life!
Great points & I feel like that’s where a lot of big corporations fail. They don’t “love”.
I love this post & the fact that it’s world bonobo day!! I take care of my 3 monkeys everyday (my kids😅) and can’t wait to start getting creative again but for now, I write weekly blurbs on The Honeymama Journal and that makes me happy.
As always, a wonderful read! I especially love the Babara Sher video. The end part is the part that got lost in translation during the whole "follow your bliss" advice; we really don't need to monetize the things that make us happy in life or feel pressured to do so. There is so much I could say on this topic!
Thanks so much, Nancy! Isn't Barbara Sher great? Yes it's a big topic — and I try to keep my newsletters from getting too long, lol. I hope you're doing things you love!
Wonderful piece, Rosana. The Barbara Sher video was great. I would like to figure out a way to incorporate that into my job hunting newsletter. It also made me think of my dad, since that's a speech he would give if he were in her shoes.
Oh, great idea to incorporate that into your newsletter! I know you're writing for people who are looking for paying jobs. One thing I would advise people is to focus on what they're good at and love, not what they think will make the most money (unless they have no choice, financially). You never know when the big-money profession will change; look at what's happening now to tech jobs.

Great quote, love it! Something we should all try to live by more.

Thank you! I read your posts and love them, even though I don't have kids! Glad to hear that writing on here also makes you happy.
Thank you for reading!
I love reading poems and stories and essays and getting paid to do so!!
So great that you are doing that!!
